The Share to Native Apps is a browser extension for Google Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers. It uses the Web Share API to share the current web page or selected text snippet to the supported native apps installed on your computer.
This extension currently works only on Windows and ChromeOS platforms, and requires Chrome 93+. Also, it works only for secure (HTTPS) pages.
Install this extension from Chrome Web Store.
How To Use
After installing this extension, pin its icon on the browser toolbar as explained in this tutorial. Once pinned successfully, you can click on this icon to share the current page.
You can also highlight any text snippet, and right click on it to share it with the supported apps.
Supported Native Apps
On Windows platform, you can use this extension to share web pages and text to the supported apps like the default Mail app, Twitter for Windows app, Microsoft Phone Link, Windows Nearby sharing etc.
Unfortunately, currently, the Web Share API is not widely adopted by the native apps developers. Thankfully, there is “Web Share Target API” to compliment the Web Share API, which enables web applications to receive shared data from other web apps and sites. This brings infinite possibilities specially to the ChromeOS and Chromebooks, where web apps are the first class citizen.

Great extension, can it add an image preview un email body like ms edge. Thanks, you have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for an extension to invoke native share.. of course it wasnt possible until chromium enabled the feature.. using it in vivaldi.
Also for some reason, the context menu commands sometimes appear and sometimes not.. like on the page, or the toolbar button.
