LG Chromebase 22CV241 Launched in India

LG has released LG Chromebase 22CV241 in India for INR 32,000 ($525 approx.). The Chromebase is first All-in-One desktop computer running on ChromeOS, with features like 21.5″  Full HD IPS screen and Intel Celeron processor. The device was announced back in December last year, and LG demoed it at CES 2014.

Key specifications of LG Chromebase include Intel Celeron 2955U Haswell-based dual-core processor @ 1.4GHz, 2GB DDR3L-1600 RAM, 16 GB SSD storage, 21.5″ IPS Panel LED-backlit LCD, 1920 x 1080 screen resolution, Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity. The device is shipped with keyboard and mouse.

Should You Buy LG Chromebase?

LG Chromebase is definitely highly priced in India. One of the main reasons for huge popularity of Chromebooks is their low price, and even LG is selling Chromebase on Amazon.com for just $350 (around INR 21k). The only advantage of LG Chromebase is its 21.5″ wide display screen, compared to usual 11.6″ of most Chromebooks.

It has just 2GB RAM and Celeron processor, while we have already seen Chromebooks with much attractive hardware configuration, like the new Acer C270 Chromebook which has Core i3 processor and 4GB RAM. Hence, we would not recommend you to buy the LG Chromebase at this price.
