The Language Tools is a browser extension for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and other Chromium-based browsers like Brave, Vivaldi etc.
It provides context menu options for Dictionary, Thesaurus and Translate. The context menu is the menu that appears when you right-click anywhere in the browser.
Install this extension from Chrome Web Store.
How to use Language Tools extension?
Use Context Menu Option: Select any word or text snippet, right-click on it and then select extension’s options to translate it, or lookup it on Google Dictionary or PowerThesaurus.com. See the following screenshot:
Use Toolbar Button: To use extension’s toolbar button, you need to pin it on the toolbar. Follow this article, and pin the extension icon on the browser toolbar.
Once you have pinned it successfully, just click this button whenever you want to translate the current tab’s page, and it should load the translated page in a new tab.
Select A Default Language To Translate
As this extension provides translate feature powered by Google Translate, you can select a default language to translate. This option can be set by following these steps:
- Open extension’s settings page by selecting the corresponding option in the context menu:
- Select your desired language:
